A Brush With Healing
I recently set up a non-profit organization, called "A Brush With Healing", that provides murals, for free, for any child that has a serious illness, and for local hospitals, clinics, homeless shelters, etc., anyplace where healing is needed. Some of the murals that I have done through my non-profit are in this album.
Healing mural painted for a family in Killeen, Texas, in January of 2006. It is 11 feet wide and 8 feet high, and it was painted with semi-gloss, interior, acrylic house paint. The family said that their son loved to go to Sea World when he was younger, and also enjoyed the boats and jet skis at the local lake, so I incorporated all of those elements into the mural. He now spends 99% of his time in his room, in bed, so I gave him his own private ocean.
This is a small mural (3 feet X 5 feet), that I painted on canvas, for presentation to the First Lady of Uganda, at an international conference in Argentina, in November 2006. The mural was painted as an offering of healing and prayer for the famous "Lost Children", and all that her country has endured for the last 20 years.
Presentation of the banner, at Journey IFC, to Alan Graham (on the right), president and co-founder of Mobile Loaves and Fishes. The banner is used by Alan when he makes public presentations about ML&F.
